Previously on…
Rain, encounters, and new opportunities.
While Ismael lost his job and found unexpected comfort under the rain, Lolo crossed paths with Jesica at just the right moment. Otto received an unexpected message, and Roque searched for answers in the silence of a cemetery. Because sometimes, what seems like just a puddle… can change a destiny.
“HEAL ME”
“Maybe the cure for the heart was finally coming for many—and that storm had washed away what hurt for so long and was so hard to let go of.”
When Ismael arrives home, his mom has dinner ready.
He’s still a mess from the splash Mike caused earlier!
M: “Son, what happened to you? Looks like you had a rough day, huh?”
I: “I won’t lie—it started off really bad, but as the day went on, it cleared up—just like the weather.
I don’t know if it was destiny or just a coincidence, but something changed! If I told you, mom…
Anyway, I’ll tell you tomorrow. I’m gonna eat this in my room, take a shower, and crash.”
Igor writes in the group chat:
“Good night, guys! Tomorrow—Tuesday—we’re getting together to organize La Lirio’s week. Otto, how are you doing?
Sorry I slept all day…”
O: “I’m getting discharged early tomorrow—thanks for asking!”
R: “Sleep well, everyone. I’ll be there.”
L: “Got it.”
I: “Okay besties! Wait till you hear what I’ve got to tell you. And remember—I’m jobless now! Kisses.”
While having breakfast with his mom, Ismael grabs the entertainment section of the paper.
Mirtha: “Wouldn’t it be better to check the jobs section instead?
Or better yet—start by telling me why you came home so happy last night. Did you talk to that Matías guy?”
I: “Ugh, mom—don’t bring up ghosts…”
M: “What? He died?!”
I: “No, no, it’s just an expression, old lady.
To keep it short—I got to work and they told me the boss wanted to see me. He said I was being let go.
Then I saw on Facebook that the ‘ghost’ had updated his status to ‘In a relationship’.
And just to top it off, a motorcycle drove through a puddle and drenched me.
That’s what happened. BUT—the glass-half-full part is… the hottie invited me for a coffee and gave me his number!
So now I’m waiting anxiously for his message, mom!”
Otto is discharged from the hospital and when he gets home, he writes in the group:
“Guys, let’s meet at my place. I’m still not feeling great.
Everyone bring something to eat, please!”
L: “Cool, I’m in.”
R: “I’ll finish a job and head over—maybe even before that.”
I: “Something light, please!” Ismael comments.
Igor: “Got it!”
While Lolo is at work, his phone rings—it’s a number he doesn’t recognize.
He answers quickly—it might be the kindergarten calling about Toby!
But a sensual voice says:
“How’s my hero doing? Here’s my number—but that’s not the only reason I called.
I just had to tell you… I’m dying to see you!”
That turns him on fire.
L: “Listen, beautiful, I’m meeting with the guys to plan out the club’s week,
but when we finish—if you’re still up—I can at least drop by for a minute to see you!”
L: “Don’t worry, Jesica.
Truth is—if you say yes, I’ll make it happen—even if it’s just to get lost for one minute in your eyes.”
J: “Alright, hero—but just for a little bit, okay? I’ll text you the address.
See you tonight, handsome. Kisses.”
Super excited, Lolo calls Rosa and asks if Toby can sleep at her place that night—since the meeting might run long.
She tells him of course, count on it.
Meanwhile, Roque has to cover for one of his employees who had a medical appointment—so he grabs his overalls, tools, and heads out on a plumbing job.
That Tuesday the weather is heavy—the humidity from the previous day’s rain is intense, and Roque is sweating.
When he arrives, a very attractive woman in a robe greets him at the door, shakes his hand, and shows him the broken sink… which is in her bedroom bathroom.
She explains the problem and says she’s heading to the backyard because she had been at the pool.
As she leaves, she drops the robe—revealing a tiny swimsuit that shows off her figure in full.
Roque stares up and down, then gets to work.
Before leaving, she offers him a drink—but he politely declines.
While fixing the pipe, it suddenly bursts—and he gets completely soaked.
He quickly turns off the water supply and heads to the backyard to let her know he’ll need to buy some extra materials.
He finds her lying face down in a lounge chair, sunbathing.
Roque: “If you don’t put sunscreen on, that sun’s gonna hurt your skin. Hope you don’t mind me saying so…
Anyway—I’m not here for that.
A pipe broke but don’t worry, I shut off the water. I’ll just need to go get a few things.”
She starts laughing.
He looks confused.
Roque: “Did something I say make you laugh?”
Her: “No, sorry—it’s just… you look like a wet duck.”
She walks toward him slowly and reaches to unzip his overalls.
Roque looks into her eyes and feels chills run down his body, triggering an erection.
She notices and quickly apologizes.
Her: “Sorry—I just didn’t want the wet fabric to make you sick.”
Roque: “No worries, I’ve got clothes to change into.
Would you mind if I…?”
Her: “Go ahead—and sorry again, Roque.”
“Maybe letting go is what opens the door to new stories
the kind that make you tremble with fear, or tremble like a leaf…
or simply because they awaken sensations you never thought you’d feel.”
To be continued…
